These drapes were added to the windows after purchasing custom faux wood blinds. The top picture is a swag valance on a custom wood pole. The center picture is an arch top treatment of silk fabric with blackout lining and inner lining. This provides extreme light control with down as well as great insulation, both challenges of this window. Below, simple silk panels on custom wood poles highlight the fireplace in the den.

These direct mount shutters did not require a frame. The customer chose a centered "divider rail" which enables the louvers in the panel to be split. The louvers in the top operate independently from the lower louvers. Sorry about the installer photo?

These beautiful drapes are installed over plantation shutters and an arch window above...The drapes are held back with tie backs and can be closed for complete light control. This room had a significant sun challenge. Our customer loved it.

This is the beautiful new Ovation from On-Location. This is our newest Blindcrafter product, made right in our hometown blind factory. The shade is extremely insulating and very, very beautiful the way it filters the light. And the stack is always less than 7 inches.

The sun was very intense on this Four Season Room. Insulating Cellular shades from Comfortex were the answer. These shades feature the trapezoid shape on top and standard rectangular in the lower windows.

The Bullet Shaped Arch window is a challenge. This customer had a blind in the bottom half, but the sun was still a problem. The Bullet Shaped Arch was the answer. It is made of insulating fabric and comes with an extension pole to allow it to be moved up and down. The result is a sun solution.

These pictures show the beautiful Ovation Slider from Comfortex. This product is very insulating and covers very wide and tall windows/doors. When it is stacked back, as in the top picture, it is barely visible. In the other pictures, the product is shown in various open positions. Ovation Sliders are made right in our hometown factory in Middletown.

Wood poles and other rods are very popular these days. The drapery are attached to the pole with rings. These panels are Pinch Pleated panels, from the name of the pleats at the top of the panels. Call us for side panels and full drapery panels.

On-Location offers an outstanding selection of stains to match most any trim. These shutters were in a home office with a very dark stain. The customer was very pleased with our ability to match the trim color. These shutters are quality Lafayette Woodland Harvest shutters. They were completed and installed in less than four weeks.

On-Location now offers a beautiful real wood vertical blind. This is an outstanding new product. It can also coordinate with our real wood blinds in color. This customer was very happy with her new window treatment.

This window illustrates how dramatic drapery side panels can be even on simple windows with wood blinds. The wood blinds are on a French Door and two matching windows. The side panels are on Wood Poles and matching rings.

If you have too much light in your skylights, call us for help. This is the Balcony shade from Comfortex. It is operated with an extension pole that comes with the shades and can be opened and closed.

Just to be honest, there are some extremely challenging windows out there as you can see from this giant glass wall of windows. The trapezodial shades are actually HunterDouglas Duettes which were sent to a company that specializes in out of spec, speciality windows. The windows below are rectangular cordless shades. Three components of a good shutter job are measuring and ordering correctly, manufacturing the product correctly and installing the product right. Some companies subcontract all their installations to persons who do not work for their company. You may have no idea who will show up to install your shutters. Darkening a room is one of the greatest challenges in the window covering industries. Most blinds WILL NOT darken a room. This is why the customer needs professional help. This room setting achieved exceptional room darkening for several reasons. 1) The fabric chosen was a single cell blackout fabric. This is one of the best for darkening. 2) The shades were considerably wider and taller than the windows. For room darkening, inside mount will not work because even a small sliver of light gap on the sides lets in a large amount of light. If you need help with light in a room, give us a call. But remember, the shade has to be right and the mount has to be right.

This beautiful bay breakfast area provided just the right spot for shutters. This room was one of the most beautiful we have done. This was part of a complete kitchen remodel.

The Plantation Shutter Slider is the answer to many challenging windows that are wide. This home has three French doors side by side and the customer wanted an alternative to traditional vertical blinds. These shutters are four panels mounted on horizontal tracks. The panels slide from one side to the other.

When the panels are closed, there is a solid look and privacy. This shutter also features a piece of crown valance molding covering the headrail to give the treatment a professional finished look.
